Today, Philadelphia is at a crossroads. The next 4 years will define
the next twenty.
Our city faces great challenges: rising crime, struggling schools, aging neighborhoods and low job growth. But we also have great resources and great people. There is nothing wrong with Philadelphia that cannot be fixed by what's right with Philadelphia.
It's time for a fresh start.
I'm running for City Council because the city is no longer serving the needs of the citizens of Philadelphia. Many of our elected officials lack imagination and ideals. Those dependent on the current system lack the political will to change it. I am independent of the system and once elected my door will be open to you.
We need real reform. I'm committed to cleaning up Philadelphia
government, cracking down on crime, strengthening our schools and bringing
more good paying jobs to our city. It's time to end pay-to-play and no-bid
contracts for good. It's time to put the people of Philadelphia first and
invest in the future of our city.
I learned from my father and my grandfather the value of public service over self-service, the importance of standing up for what's right, and above all, that the future of Philadelphia is worth fighting for. When government works, it can be a catalyst for progress, fairness and opportunity.
I have a vision for Philadelphia: Our best days are ahead. I will
provide leadership and the political will to get us there. It's time to take
back City Hall and make it work, once again, for all Philadelphians. |
